Obituary of Rhonnie Joe Evett

Rhonnie Joe Evett, age 67, of San Augustine went to rest with our savior April 6, 2019, after his battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Rhonnie was born on June 11, 1951, to Levi Evett & Edna Oleta Eberlan Evett in  San Augustine, Texas

Rhonnie was known for his honesty and caring ways for others, his knowledge of farming, agriculture, raising cattle & poultry. He was graduate from Broaddus High School class of 1969 & was retired from Deep East Texas Elec. Co-Op.

Rhonnie loved his family and friends; and told everyone that knew him the importance of having them both. He loved helping his neighbors and showing everyone that knew him a good time.  He always said and was a firm believer that there is good in everyone no matter what you’ve heard.

Those left to cherish his memory include is his wife of 31 years Pamela Evett; his daughters Catherine “Katie” Evett Anderson & husband Aaron Anderson of San Augustine, Tx; Lea Ann Walton Bennefield & husband Clayton Bennefield of San Augustine, Tx; Amy Walton Williams & husband Gary Williams of Broaddus, Tx; Grandchildren Adilynn Anderson, Coy Bennefield, Aubrey Bennefield, Tyler Williams, Hunter Williams, Hudson Williams,  Caroline Walton, Claire Walton, Chloe Walton; great-grandsons Corbin Stracener & Jordan Williams. Sister & Beverly Evett Sowell & husband Byron Sowell of San Augustine, Tx; Brother Hershal Lee Evett & wife Linda Evett of Pearland, Tx & many loving nieces and nephews.

Proceeded into eternal rest with his father Levi Evett, mother Edna Oleta Eberlan Evett, brother Roger Dale Evett, and son Joseph C. Walton.

In lieu of flowers, he requests that a donation be made to Texas Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
