Rhonnie was my only friend as kids growing up on Evett Lane before it was called that. We roamed the woods, fished the creek, swam in the pond, and just country boys carefree... living life as we knew it. As we got older never really parted ways. Other memories abound but one in particular...if you got behind a pickup on the highway driving 40 miles an hour it had to be "ole cuz". Always a smile on his face and makes me smile even now as I write and remember. Rest in Peace til we meet by that Great River.

We are sorry to hear of the loss of Ronnie Joe to his Family. His outgoing personality and friendliness will be missed by many in this county. The honesty this man shown and lived by is a rare breed of mankind these days. His gray Ford Superduty passing by at approximately the same time every morning at daylight and the afternoon at about 45 mph will be missed.

I sure am going to miss seeing this smile & hearing this laugh! ❤️
This man was like no other I’ve ever met, no matter where he would see me we would sit & talk for a good while! I always told him he was the best man in Broaddus & the best looking as well he’d just laugh! His favorite thing to talk about was that granddaughter that had him wrapped around her finger, he could go on & on about her! I’m so glad he’s in a better place! Lots of love & prayers to the family!!

My heart is sad about the death of one of the best persons I have ever known. I have known Rhonnie Joe all my life. We grew up together and I always looked forward when we met and visited each other. This man was a sweetheart,a big hearted, careing and compassionate man. A true blessing to know. My prayers are with his loved ones. This world has lost a great man and heaven has gained an Angel.
