Obituary of Suzy Purgahn Dailey

Suzy Purgahn Dailey, age 78, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Dailey was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Port Arthur, Texas, to parents William A. Purgahn and Verna West Purgahn. A homemaker, she had lived the Broaddus area for a number of years and was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. 

Her survivors include her husband, Phillip Vennon Dailey Sr. of Broaddus, Texas; her children, Jerry Sue McCormack and husband Billy of Dallas, Texas, P.V. Dailey Jr. and wife Dana of Chireno, Texas, Ronald Dailey and wife Rita of the Grapevine community, Charley Dailey and wife Holly of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Charnette Garrett and husband Tim of Chireno, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Verna Purgahn; daughter, Milissa Dailey; sister, Pat Hebert; brother, Jerry Dolph Purgahn; and a great-grandson, Rhett Garrett.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2019, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Wade Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Levi Crow Cemetery in San Augustine County, Texas.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 14, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas.

Pallbearers will be P.J. Harvey, Taylor Harvey, Travis Garrett, Hayden McCormack, Joe Dailey, and Stetson Garrett. Honorary pallbearers are Joe David Hanks and Tim Garrett.
