Obituary of Kimberly Kay Ivie Steffan

Kimberly (Kim) Ivie Steffan was born August 16, 1965, in Lufkin, Texas, to Marvin (Buddy) Ivie and Taylor Atkins Ivie.  She departed this life July 6, 2019, in Houston, Texas, after a long, courageous battle with Huntington's Disease (HD), having spent the last 11 years in Woodridge Care Center.

She is survived by her father, Marvin Ivie, and stepmother, Bettie Green Ivie, two daughters, Lauren Steffan and Morgan Steffan, her former husband and faithful caregiver, Robert Steffan, and Sherry Pleas, compassionate supporter, two grandchildren, Norah Apple and Samuel Apple, one aunt, Jean Leediker and husband, Joe and one uncle, James (Sonny) Ivie, one step-brother, Dr. Steven Williams, Angela Williams and one step-sister, Kelly Camp and husband, John, along with extended Steffan family, a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and two brothers, Barry Ivie and Craig Ivie.

A memorial for Kim will be Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Parkview Baptist Church, 111 Parkview,  Lufkin, Texas at 2 p.m.  Her remains will be interred at the family plot in Gann Cemetery, Lufkin, Texas.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America, HelpCureHD.org or to your favorite charity.
