Obituary of Duell Donice Sanford

Mr. Duell Donice Sanford, age 74, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019, at Summit Health Care in San Augustine, Texas.

Donice, born December 1, 1944, in Orange, Texas, to parents Douglas Duell Sanford and Georgie B. Sheard Sanford, had been a longtime resident of San Augustine County. He served his country and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Don was a member of First Baptist Church in Broaddus as well the Broaddus Masonic Lodge #1112.

His survivors include his mother, Georgie B. Sanford of San Augustine County; his sister, Bobbie D. Sanford of San Augustine County; nephews, Johnny White of Zavalla, Texas, and Don White and Arlen Lewis, both of San Augustine County; a niece, Bobbie Jo Lewis of Zavalla, Texas; eight aunts; and an uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Duell Sanford; and a nephew, Jimmy Douglas White.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Dr. Wayne Barth officiating. Interment will follow at Attoyac Cemetery, located on FM 3314 in San Augustine County, Texas.
