Obituary of Jack Brown

Funeral Services for Jack Brown, age 89, of San Augustine, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Little Flock Baptist Church, in San Augustine County, Texas, with Bro. Leo Wright and Bro. David Ebarb officiating.  Burial will follow in the Little Flock Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday evening, January 25, 2019, from the hours of 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.

Jack was born November 16, 1929, in San Augustine County, Texas, to the late Robert Thurston (R. T.) and Armatha Brown. Jack passed away peacefully Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Summit Nursing in San Augustine, Texas. He worked and retired from Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative as an equipment operator. He was a lifetime member of Little Flock Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish, play 42, but most of all talk and visit with friends and family.

Those left to cherish his memory include four children Raymond Earl Brown and wife Frances of San Augustine, Donald Ray Brown and wife Ginger of Lufkin, William Thurston Brown and wife Christina of San Augustine and Carrie Sue Yocom and husband Phil of Hemphill, Texas; Aunt Virgie Lack, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents R. T. and Armatha Brown; wife of more than 50 years Lucille (Craig) Brown; daughter Onie Bell Brown; Brothers Jimmy Brown, Clyde Brown, Roy Brown; Sisters Essie Mae Clark, Lorine Brown.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jack's great-grandson's Austine Stephens, Ty Hunter Stephens, Chase Stephens, Seth Stephens, Garrett Brown and grandson Robert Brown. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons Raymond Brown, Jr. and Dalton Rhodes.
