Obituary of Oleta Rule
Funeral services for Oleta Rule, age 97, of San Augustine, Texas, will be held Friday, December 21, 2018, 10:00 am, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, San Augustine County, Texas, Bro. Frank Holrath officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home. Oleta passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, in San Augustine, Texas. She was born January 15, 1921, in San Augustine County, Texas, to the late John and Mattie (Harris) Bodine.
Oleta was a telephone operator and homemaker. She cherished her husband, Elmo who preceded her in death in 1995. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, serving as Sunday School teacher for 50 years, including 25 years at Twin Lakes Care Center.
Those left to cherish her memory include: Daughter Dixie Reese; Sons Ronnie Rule and wife Patti, Timothy Rule and wife Sherryll all of San Augustine. 4 Grandchildren Diane Trujillo, Jim Carpenter, Stephanie Carpenter, Alesha Gunter; 14 Great-grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Lane Chambers, Clint Chambers, Mike Tollett, Ray Trujillo, Kevin Gratehouse, Lester Carpenter, Judson McAbee, Jerry McKinney. Honorary Pallbearers Paul Gunter, Tom McAbee.
