Obituary of Billy Archer

Funeral Services for Billy Archer, age 75, of San Augustine, Texas, will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 5, 2018, at the San Augustine County Cowboy Church in San Augustine, Texas, officiated by Bro. Chris Burris.  Visitation will be Sunday, November 4, 2018, at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine, Texas, from the hours of 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Billy passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018, at his residence.  Billy was born October 6, 1943, in Houston, Texas to Willie R. Archer Sr., and Violet Louise (Frost) Archer.

Billy graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Education.  He had many different occupations including Teacher, County Extension Agent, Owner and Operator of Archer Feed Store and Pipeline Welder. He was very active in the San Augustine Community with such organizations as the County 4-H, stock shows, Go Texans, Redland Masonic Lodge # 3 and San Augustine County Cowboy Church. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include: Daughters Stacy Harris and husband Robert of San Augustine, Teri Boyd and husband Brent of San Augustine; Special Loved One June Fuller of San Augustine; Grandchildren Holli Harris, Hannah Johnson, Maegan Boyd, Trey Harris, Macey Boyd; Great-Grandchild Jhett Johnson; Sister Leonora "Pap" Goodson.

He was preceded in death by his Wife Dannie Jean (Vail) Archer; Parents Willie R. Archer Sr. and Violet Archer; Sister Norman Jean Harris; Brother Leonard Archer
