To the Pate family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss of your loved one. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to put an end to all the things that have plagued mankind for centuries including pain, suffering and death (Revelation 21:3,4). May these promises from God's word, the Bible give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.

I was so sorry and sad to read of your mom’s passing. She was such a sweet lady and I was happy when we connected on Facebook so I could keep up with her and all of you. May the Lord comfort you and bring precious memories to mind as you celebrate her life. I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend the service but your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I have special memories of Pat and Nelson when we attended church together at First Baptist Church. Pat was a sweet lady and will be greatly missed. May God comfort her family during the loss of a dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

I met Pat a few months after Lee Roy & I married 62 yrs ago. Our friendship continued to today. Pat & I hit it off from day one. She was one of the sweetest ladies I ever met. She was my friend. She helped me to know the people of San Augustine since I wasn’t from there. She & Nelson gave me insight on L.R & his school days. I soon came to know his friends & how their lives were woven into the tapestry of his life. We would talk for hours when we were together or on the phone. We shared recipes. She shared some recipes from San Augustine teachers. I cherish those. Every year after she moved to Gilmer she bought me sweet potatoes and made us a sweet potato pie when yamboree was on. She loved her 3 children & grand children & her great grands. I talked to her last month while she was in rehab. She was excited to be going to her new residence in Gilmer. But God had a new residence for her. I will miss her. Rest In Peace my dear friend, Pat.
